Online proctoring is software that monitors students using a webcam and microphone while they take an exam online. The software is used for student identity verification and to protect the academic integrity of online exams. Atlantic Cape uses Honorlock for online proctoring. If you are a Mac user and receiving the error “Permission Denied: Access to Screen Recording denied by the computer,” please ensure that you are allowing Google Chrome screen recording access on your computer. From your system preferences, navigate to the Privacy & Security page and then “Screen Recording.” Make sure that Screen Recording for Google Chrome is enabled.
